Garland Canada wins the prestigious A&W Award of Excellence for performance and service levels during 2006.
April 24th, 2007
At the Franchisee Convention in Palm Springs, CA, Garland Canada was honored by A&W Canada for their excellence they demonstrated in several key categories as rated by A&W.
Garland Canada was rated on an overall basis of 4.2 out of a possible score of 5 based on evaluations submitted by New Restaurant Operators, A&W’s Accounting and Equipment Services Department. The franchisee opinion counts for 60% of the total score with Accounting and Equipment Services counting for the balance of 40%.
Garland Canada was successful this year in attaining this award through our value-added attention to detail and the excellent relationship that we have with our partners in the A&W Equipment Services Team. This outstanding relationship allows us to jointly analyze operational needs and design value-added total product and service solutions to these challenges. The innovation that Garland Canada can leverage through our affiliation with the Enodis Technology Center has raised the bar significantly and fostered an “out of the box” attitude on designing and implementing product, process and service solutions.
Exciting examples of how this co-operative process worked in 2006 were the A&W chain griddle upgrade program and impletmentation, the ETC/Lincoln toaster and the high efficiency fryer and filtration projects. All these projects will contribute to considerable time and cost savings at the operator level, while dramatically raising energy efficiency and productivity from the equipment.
These “wins” were not created in silos, they were the result of intense amounts of teamwork, research, engineering and input from our partner Customer A&W. Nothing stood in the way of the success of these projects once the objectives and goals were clearly established. There were setbacks and reinvention was required throughout each project, but the will to succeed was the key driver.
Our final success was measured in the Customer’s reaction – We Delivered What We Promised! We won the Award of Excellence for 2006, but this won’t blunt the drive, focus or direction, we are already pushing ahead on projects to expand upon this relationship and make it even more advantageous for our Customer, Garland Canada and Enodis.
We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to our Customer Partner – A&W Canada and a huge “Well Done” to all the Team Members who made this award possible.
