Garland Canada Hosts Iron Chef Accelerated at APEX Show!

On Monday afternoon – April 28th, 2008, Garland Canada will be presenting the Iron Chef Accelerated East contest in conjunction with CRFA.

Iron Chef Jason Rosso [Executive Chef – Boiler House restaurant - Toronto] will be competing against the Challenger Luis Clavel [Executive Chef – Energetic Foods Inc. - Halifax] in a timed demonstration of high quality food prepared and served in record times.

Both chefs must produce a mandatory five dishes within 45 minutes to qualify for the competition and can produce an optional additional two items for judging.  Judges will be marking the competition based on international culinary judging standards.  Judging will be handled by local chefs and judges from the Moncton area.

This competition was first introduced at the CRFA Show in Toronto earlier this year and was a real hit with the restaurateurs, chefs and culinary students that attended the show.  Popular demand for a similar event in Atlantic Canada prompted the addition of the Iron Chef to the APEX Show offering.
